Welcome to our new school year. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Karen Peterson and I have been teaching at Little School of the West for a little over nineteen years now. I have an Associate of Arts degree from Cerritos College in Early Childhood Education and I am beginning my twenty-ninth year of teaching.
Hello and welcome to the Preschool 2 class! My name is Karen Neilson. I have attended West Cypress Church for the last 15 years and have worked with young children, serving in the Children’s ministry for 8 years. I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development from Whittier College. This is my fifth year working at Little School of the West. I started as an aide, became a teacher’s assistant, subbing in each classroom, and this is my first year teaching the Preschool 2 class. I believe God has called me to this profession and I will do my best to have Him guide me as I teach and care for your precious little ones. I am so blessed to be your child’s teacher and am excited for what the Lord has planned for this school year!
My name is Holly Krylo and I am excited to be the Preschool 3 teacher. I started at Little School of the West as an aide on August 25, 2014. I began taking child development courses, received onsite training and became a regular preschool substitute teacher. I completed my Early Childhood Education certification on March 31, 2017. I have been married to my husband and best friend, Jonah, for five years. I love the Lord and attend Arbor Road Church. I look forward to partnering with you in your child's preschool experience.
My name is Kelly Muesse (pronounced Macy). This will be my sixth year at Little School of the West. I would like to share a little bit about myself with you. I have my teaching certificate in Early Childhood Development and 20 years of experience working with children. I am also a proud mother of 2 boys, Samuel who is 13 years old and Abel who is 10 years old. I am looking forward to getting to know my new students and their families. Through a structured theme based curriculum I will nurture and stimulate your child's growth in areas of physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development. I am so thankful to have this opportunity as your child's teacher this year!
My name is Bonni Nisbet and I am so excited to be teaching this year! I spent two years as Miss Peterson's aide before becoming a teacher in the 2014-2015 school year. I am thrilled to be back for my seventh year of teaching and I am so excited to have this opportunity to be teaching your children! I have loved working with children since I was about twelve. I worked in the nursery at my church for about eight years before coming to Little School of the West and I am currently on the road to obtaining my Early Childhood Education Certificate. I strongly believe that teaching is what God has called me to do and I am pleased to do His work through spending time with your precious children!
I am very happy that your family will be part of this special year that I have planned for us. My name is Crystal Molinar. I have been teaching for 20 years and am entering my 16th year at Little School of the West. I have my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development. I believe that God has called me to this profession and I will do my best to let Him guide me in teaching, caring for, and loving your children. My classroom theme is based on the scripture found in Psalm 37:7: "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him." Our overall classroom theme is "Sloths". WE will learn how God is always there for us, how we can rest in His promises and how He has made each one of us special in our very own unique way.
My name is Frances Smith and I have been teaching at Little School of the West for 36 years, twelve in the kindergarten class and before that I taught the pre-k class for 19 years and now I am excited to begin my sixth year with the TK Tiger class! I have two beautiful daughters and three wonderful grandchildren.
I count it a privilege and a blessing to work with your child and family during this important time in his/her education and development. My goal for this year is that I could meet each child’s individual learning needs, cultivate a love for learning in your child and that they would grow in the knowledge of Jesus and receive His very best for their lives. God is entrusting me with the most valuable treasure that you have and I want to give my best and follow His will for this year in the TK class.
